Hear Shannon Robinson Read Her Short Story “Rabbits” at E-Verse Equinox Reading Series

By Ernest Hilbert • September 28, 2022 • E-Verse Universe

Author Shannon Robinson read her excellent short story “Rabbits” at E-Verse Equinox Reading Series upstairs at Fergie’s Pub in Philadelphia, October 14th, 2022. We recorded it, and you can listen here. It’s very good. The story first appeared in Water-Stone Review, Volume 19, 2016. You can read her amusing, troubling, and memorable story here. The introduction is by series co-host John Wall Barger. Enjoy!

Shannon Robinson’s stories have appeared in The Iowa Review, The Gettysburg Review, Water-Stone, Nimrod, failbetter, and Joyland. She has received Nimrod’s Katherine Anne Porter Prize for Fiction and a Hedgebrook Fellowship, as well as grants from the Elizabeth George Foundation and the Canada Council for the Arts. Robinson has been a writer in residence at the Interlochen Arts Academy; she has also taught fiction and nonfiction at Washington University in St. Louis, and through Stanford University’s School of Continuing Studies.
