“Notes for the Conquest” by Devon Bixler

By Ernest Hilbert • July 1, 2013 • E-Verse Universe

The platform shall be made clear to all.
Be frank on the hazard of green valleys.
Keep a few modern bullets in the clip.
Beware the temptation of dry socks.
Trust the natives only with your lives.
Raise your hogs in a mountain glen.
Bury your name in the nearest ruin.
Have faith in the bright metals of yore.

Or. Hit the gym. Order Vietnamese.
Meet a girl. Take her to Chicago.
Split the tackles. Kill the quarterback.
Find a warehouse. Burn it down.
