Again, thank God for the Internet! This site compiles all of the many book covers for H.G. Wells’s sci-fi classic War of the Worlds.

This is my favorite, from 1960, and recently reissued by New York Review of Books Press in the same format. It’s by the legendary Edward Gorey. I like it so much I actually have the front cover framed at home.

Here is the laziest, and most confused, and therefore funniest of the bunch as far as I’m concerned.
