Dear Mr. Davis,
It's me again (forgive the grammar). I don't believe I received an answer to my above-penned comment on your work. I would really enjoy reading it, and would be glad to send you my blast on 20th century poetry. I am employed, healthy, sane, and have copyrighted about 50 songs to prove my good humor. You can see these at my new website. Start with Yahoo. Go to upper left window, type "swingtunesmusic.weebly.com" without any preceding "www."
And - glad to send you a poem of mine if I had your address.

My best to you,
ECH

February 22

In this recognition of the "new criticism" and its strengths, what happens to lyric poetry?

It is still an orphan in the storm. If I could produce an edited work on lyric poets - who use meter and rhyme, and do pay attention to the content of the ideas, which must be high minded - would you reach across the table and shake my hand?

ECH - For a sample of modern lyric poems see the website. It also has a few songs I have penned.
