Sea Slugs . . . and Other Slimy Stuff

You may think slugs are repellent. My wife contended with foot-long ones that would slither into her house in San Francisco on damp days (every day) and attempt to absorb the cat food by the door. When I was a boy, I actually found slugs beautiful in a strange way, and I’d sit and stare at them as they inched their gluey way up a concrete stair (I was an odd boy). E-Verser Cynthia, who recently joined the Polar Bear Club, says we should have a look at David Doubilet’s photographs for National Geographic, which, we are promised, bring out the “glamor” of the sea slug. Click on this flaming baby to see some of the photographs.
While we’re on the topic, how about sea angels and sea butterflies?
